In order to sell your Utah Jazz Seat Location Rights on the website, you must first create an account. There is no charge to create an account. You can then login to your account, click the Create Listing button, and fill out some basic information about your listing. Please note, the price of the listing is ONLY for the Seat Location Rights and does not include the price of any tickets.
You will receive an email each time a buyer submits an offer on your listing. You will have 48 hours to accept or reject this offer before it expires. If you reject the offer, you can submit a counter offer (the buyer cannot act on the counter offer- it is for information only).
After you accept an offer, we will get agreement between you and the buyer regarding the terms of sale for any tickets for remaining games (if applicable). Any transaction regarding tickets (including payment and delivery) will be arranged between you and the buyer during the transfer based on these agreed-upon terms. We do not facilitate the transaction for the tickets. Any offer accepted before January 15 will automatically include the buyer getting the rights to purchase any playoff tickets directly from the Ticket Office.
Once we have agreement between you and the buyer on the terms of sale for any tickets (if applicable), we will email the payment instructions to the buyer. There is nothing for you to do until we receive payment from the buyer.
Once we receive payment from the buyer, we will email the transfer instructions (and contact information, if applicable) to both you and the buyer. You and the buyer will then complete and send the transfer paperwork to the Ticket Office. You and the buyer will also arrange the transaction for any tickets at this time (if applicable).
Once we confirm with the Ticket Office that your transfer is complete, we will send you a check for the sales price less the Transaction Fee. This Transaction Fee is calculated as described below.
Transaction Fee - Seats Previously Transferred (non-family) & Jazz 100 Club
The seller is charged a Transaction Fee calculated as 10% of the sale price (minimum $1,000 per seat for lower level and $250 per seat for upper level), which will be deducted from the check you will receive after your transfer is complete. To confirm if your seats have been previously transferred, please contact the Utah Jazz Ticket Office at 801-325-7777.
Transaction Fee - Seats NOT Previously Transferred (original owner)
The Utah Jazz have granted season ticket holders the opportunity to sell and transfer the "renewal rights" to their seat locations with no up-front cost. Rather than an up-front cost, the seller is charged a Transaction Fee calculated as 30% of the sale price (minimum $1,000 per seat for lower level and $250 per seat for upper level), which will be deducted from the check you will receive after your transfer is complete.
Payout Methods
The seller will receive payment by check or wire transfer (upon request). Upon verification of the transfer, a check (less the transfer fee) is sent to the seller. The seller will receive an email with a tracking number once the payment is shipped.
